A Hint of Fall

I love fall. It is my favorite season. I know people are saying it is fall, but really fall does not begin until September 23rd, which happens to be my hubby's birthday. We were enjoying cooler days this past week, and then over the weekend the temperature went up to 80. Tonight, it is a beautiful night. The windows are open and there is a cool breeze. It is getting darker earlier and I love the sounds of the, well not sure what it is, but I think it is an insect. I have not put away the summer clothes yet, we are known to have hot days into October. As soon as you think it has cooled off the temperatures soar again.
Fall is a time of change. Back to school for the kids, or shall I say back to routine for us homeschoolers
? A time to start new habits. For me that means trying to exercise regularly again. The leaves will be changing here soon to beautiful reds, golds and oranges. There will be decorations of pumpkins, gourds and haystacks. Apple picking and buying Mums at the farm stands, hay rides for the kids and the smell of fireplaces burning. It is a season of giving thanks. My favorite holiday, Thanksgiving, is a couple of months away, which means it will be our anniversary soon too. We were married the Saturday after Thanksgiving in 2001. Did I mention fall is my favorite season?!
What about you? What do you love most about Fall. I'd love to hear.

My Tribute

This morning in church we sang this beautiful song. I thought it is a great way to start my new blogging experience. Here are the lyrics:

My Tribute
Verse 1
How can I say thanks
For the things You have done for me,
Things so undeserved,
Yet You gave to prove Your love for me.
The voices of a million angels
Could not express my gratitude.
All that I am and ever hope to be,
I owe it all to Thee.
Chorus
To God be the glory,
To God be the glory,
To God be the glory,
For the things He has done.
With His blood He has saved me,
With His power He has raised me,
To God be the glory,
For the things He has done.

Verse 2
Just let me live my life,
Let it be pleasing, Lord, to Thee,
And if I gain any praise,
Let it go to Calvary.
With His blood He has saved me,
With His power He has raised me,
To God be the glory,
For the things He has done.
