1. Share a favorite song, book, or
movie title containing the word green?
"The Life of Timothy Green".
2. Ralph Waldo Emerson is quoted as saying, 'Shallow men believe in luck. Strong men believe in cause and effect.' Would you agree? Are you a believer in luck?
Yes, I agree. I am not a believer in luck. I believe in God’s favor and blessings.
3. Spring water, Hot Springs, handspring, spring fling, spring break, spring fever, offspring...which 'spring' word best applies to something in your day, week, or life right now?
I don't think any of them apply right now, but I'll say spring break. I'm thinking about how much time we will take off from school for spring break. We aren't going on vacation but I do have a few things I'd like to get done so we will probably take some time off.
4. What's something you do to make yourself look or feel more confident?
I use Henna on my hair. It makes my grays looks like highlights and makes my hair shiny and soft.
5. It's National Celery Month...are you a fan? If so, what's a snack or dish you enjoy that calls for celery?
Not really. I use celery when making chicken soup but
that is usually the only time I look for it.
6. What's one thing you wish you'd
learned sooner?
How to cook and bake from scratch. I laugh when I think about how hard I thought it was. With the internet and Pinterest, you can find a recipe to make just about anything from scratch. My favorite to make would have to be gravy.
7. Would you like to own a second home? If so where would you want that home to be?
That thought has not crossed my mind. The taxes are so high here I don't think it is something likely to happen.

Did you do anything special for St. Patrick's Day yesterday? We made Irish Soda Bread and watched some of the NYC parade on TV. And of course spoke with an Irish accent for the day :)
~Theresa
I'm with you. I agree in God's favor and blessing, not luck.
ReplyDeleteWould you believe gravy was one of the things I was most afraid to make, as a young bride? Ha!
ReplyDeleteWe didn't do anything special for St. Pat's Day, but I did have my decorations out :)
I didn't even know NYC had a St. Patrick's day parade. :) I also would have wanted to bake more from scratch, i do now than i used to though. It's so much healthier! Taxes are high everywhere i'm afraid, CA is a nightmare. ;o
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you visited my blog because it gave me a chance to find yours. It looks like we have a lot in common (not just on the questions - lol).
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you about learning to cook from scratch. I grew up with a Mom that had to work, and had to work a lot of hours, so scratch cooking didn't happen. I thought it was going to be very hard. I would see others bake or cook and think, "wow, they are so talented". Yes, some were. Most were just people that would take the time to follow directions. Now that I do so much scratch cooking, I see it's really not complicated.
I cooked cabbage and wore a green top, but that was about it. I've never seen that movie, but it has been mentioned a few times today, so will have to look for it. Snow flurries here today too :( And I think snow on Friday-hello Spring!
ReplyDeleteI love that movie, I really enjoyed it. I also love Pinterest. We didn't do anything for St. Patrick's Day :(
ReplyDeleteLove that you spoke with an Irish accent, I didn't even know it was St. Patty's Day, we don't celebrate it here in Croatia. Never heard about that movie, I'm gonna go take a look see!
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteWe have a Homeschool Lego Club that I head up. Our monthly meeting happened to fall on St. Patrick's Day. We had Green Ice Cream for a snack, Mint Chocolate Chip :-) the kids loved it. My son made a rainbow out of Legos and a pot of gold.
I love that you spoke with an Irish accent. How fun.
Have a great day! Carla
Hi Theresa, I am visiting from Carla's (The River) blog. The Irish Soda Bread looks good. It's nice to meet another sister in Christ through blogging. I hope you have a wonderful upcoming weekend.
