A Moving, Still The One Hodgepodge

Visit Joyce and join the fun!

1. What would you say is the best and worst thing about moving house?

The best thing is getting rid of things that you don't really need as you pack.  The worst thing is all of the packing, unpacking and finding a place for everything.

2. What's moved you recently?

I watched a movie on Amazon the other night with my daughter.  It is called "Touched By Grace" and I liked it a lot.  It was about a girl in high school who moved and became friends with a girl with Down Syndrome.  The girl with Down Syndrome was a Christian and invited her to Young Life events.  There is more to the story but I don't want to give it away in case anyone wants to see it.  But it moved me.

3. Do you feel your life is moving forward, backward, or is on hold? How so?

I feel like my life is on hold.  Due to my dizziness acting up I am not doing as much as I'd like to.  Hopefully I'll be moving forward soon.

4. On the move, move mountains, get a move on, it's your move, or bust a move...which phrase best applies to some aspect of your life right now? Explain.

Get a move on, I suppose.  I have not been moving as fast as I'd like to (see previous answer).

5. What song makes you want to get up and move?

"Still The One" by Orleans. It makes me happy and I just want to dance when I hear it.

6. Your favorite snack to grab when you're 'on the move'?

A Lara bar. Apple pie is my go to classic flavor, but there are several other delicious flavors.

7. What one accessory makes your house feel like home?

My picture frames with family photos in them.  When I moved last year I remember what a difference it made to have my photos out and displayed.

8. Insert your own random thought here.

Autumn has arrived at last.  It's been a few days since we've needed the A/C.  It is time for me to take my long pants out of storage.  There is nothing like putting on a pair of jeans after wearing capris and shorts all summer long.  One of my favorite things to do when fall arrives :)

  1. I will check out the movie. We saw a movie a couple of weeks ago called Greater that was excellent and extremely moving. I think I may buy it when it is available. Fall here is undecided and some days are cool and some still summer. But I'm with you. I am wearing jeans now. I love winter clothes, jeans, and jackets. It's just cozy.

  2. I'm sorry about your dizziness. That's got to be frustrating. I hope you get relief soon. I've never tried the Lara bar, but it sounds good. And I smiled about the jeans. I wear them year 'round up here, except for the hottest part of the summer. 😃

  3. Love Still the One by Orleans - sort of a cheesy, fun vibe but I've always loved it and it reminds me of growing up! I also love Lara bars - so good!

  4. We've been having some "fall-like" weather here, in late evenings and early mornings, but it's not quite time to drag out long pants. Maybe soon...

I hope your dizziness will soon improve. It's no fun to be dizzy :(

  6. These are all great answers, Theresa...many that I could have written myself. The movie from Amazon sounds amazing. I never use my Amazon Prime for movies...I really need to check it out. My hubby would really love it since he works with mentally challenged adults. Picture frames...I forgot about listing my picture frames! I have them everywhere and love to display them too.

  7. I must say that I'm not a fan of the Larabar...it's a texture thing. I hope your dizziness is treatable and on it's way out. I had vertigo and took a med called novert, have you tried it? It helped me. Have a great week.
    Cheers!

  9. I agree the best part is getting rid of things. I wanted to get a move on too! When you get sick you just want to get better. So my lungs and heart are better but now I can't move with the knee. I'll have to try the apple Larabar, I like them. I miss my photos being out. I had to move some of my collections around when our daughter moved in six years ago. I'm loving the cooler weather.....
