Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY
Outside my window... it is dark out now. The weather this weekend was beautiful and very warm for this time of the year. Tomorrow is forecasted to be in the 20s and sunny. I can't wait for snow!

I am thinking... I hope it snows and the kids can use their new snow clothes and amazing 2 man tube we bought them at COSTCO.

I am thankful for... ringing in the new year with my family.

From the learning rooms... thank you cards were written today.

From the kitchen... leftover Stromboli and for me crackers with cream cheese (my stomach is hurting today).

I am wearing... pajamas. Today is a sick day and I am napping whenever I can.

I am going... no real plans this week. Just glad to not have too much going on after a busy couple of weeks.

I am reading... the Bible, "Womanly Dominion", "Instruments in The Redeemer's Hands", "Homework Manual" by Wayne Mack.

I am hearing... cartoons on the TV.

One of my favorite things... Christmas decorations. Mine are still up and I only plan on taking them down over the weekend.

Happy New Year!

  1. I hate to say goodbye to the Christmas decorations. Maybe this weekend I will put them away. Grandson did take down the outside lights. But then it will be a clean slate--something to look forward to.

I enjoy my decorations too, and hate to have to put them away. I leave out a few snowmen during the winter...I like their smiling faces. :-)
Hope you have a good week. Take care.

Is it really supposed to be that cold?
I don't want snow- maybe one day for sledding- but please- nothing like last year.
