Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY
Outside my window... it is dark and around 29 degrees. I stepped out to put the garbage can away (in my socks and no coat) and it was refreshing :)

I am thinking... what a nice day we had with our friends visiting.

I am thankful for... friends that distance can't separate.

From the learning rooms... spelling, math, reading and outdoor play ;)

From the kitchen... pizza and garlic knots, I haven't cooked a thing today.

I am wearing... jeans and a brown v-neck long sleeve shirt.

I am going... to help a friend organize and clean out their home, acupuncture, to help my Mom take down her Christmas decorations, book club.

I am reading... the Bible, "Womanly Dominion", "Instruments in The Redeemer's Hands", "Homework Manual" by Wayne Mack.

I am hearing... "The Christmas Story" playing on TV.

One of my favorite things... last week's answer: Christmas decorations. Mine are still up and I only plan on taking them down over the weekend. This week's answer: Ha! I still haven't taken them down. I started to on Friday and my husband said "Oh, you are taking them down already. It hasn't even been a week since New Year's". So up they stayed :)

  2. Friends that distance can't separate are treasures indeed. Do all you can to hang on to them!

It would be great to have a friend come help clean and organize!

  3. Oh funny on Christmas decorations...I seem to take them down faster and faster each year, I too used to leave them until after the 1st, but always down before birthday time in our house, which now starts on the 3rd.

Have a great week...not cooking sounds like a great day LOL
