Simple Woman's Daybook
FOR TODAY
Outside my window... it is dark out. Today was sunny and breezy. It was a great day to hang out my tablecloth and quilt.
I am thinking... it has been a long day.
I am thankful for... my father-in-law returning home today after being in the hospital and nursing home for five months.
From the learning rooms... we are on Spring Break!
From the kitchen... spiral ham with pineapple, sweet potatoes, mashed carrots, green beans and pear and blueberry crumb pie. I also made a carrot cake for our Easter dessert. I used Bob's Red Mill Egg Replacer and no one could tell the difference :)
I am wearing... jeans, a dark navy t-shirt.
I am going... to do some more spring cleaning this week. I still have windows to get to.
I am reading... the Bible.
I am hearing... the washing machine. It seems like it has been going all day.
One of my favorite things: hearing my children singing "Up from the grave He arose..." I was cleaning up in the kitchen and they were playing Uno Flash. I heard them singing and turned around to see they had the hymnals out. What joy it brought to my heart!
