I'm in a New York State of Mind

After watching the news coverage of the ceremonies that took place today to remember those lost on 9/11/01 I can't stop thinking of this song, especially as a New Yorker.

May we never forget!

  2. Every time i see or hear 9/11 or September 11 i get chills. It was indeed a sad day none of us will ever forget. My grandpa lived through Pearl Harbor and 9/11 but i am not sure he really saw what was going on because he had Alzheimer's. We were visiting him at the nursing home and some of the other patients were watching the coverage. My uncle asked one what they're watching and chillingly she said "the WAR"

  3. I can't imagine what it must have been like, especially for those who live in NYC on that fatal day 11-years ago. The emotions were so heavy for me hundreds of miles away and still are vivid till this time. I'll never forgot and I don't want to forgot.

On Tuesday, I wrote a poem entitled Rise Up To Never Stay Down in memory of those who died on 9/11. I'm not a poet, but this came freely to me. I credit my inspiration to divine providence shaping my words.

Thanks for visiting today's post Wayback Wednesdays. You're welcome to link your blog. This little meme has no theme or strict rules. It's simply allows fellow bloggers to meet.
