Fall Challenge- Week Two

Making_Your_Home_a_Haven_Fall_2010I really enjoyed the week one challenge at Women Living Well last week.  My home smelled lovely with my hot cider candle burning.  I used it as a reminder to create a peaceful home.  I will continue to do that.

Here is the challenge for this week:

October 10 - Play soft music everyday in your home. Choose worship, classical or another form of peaceful music that the family enjoys. Focus on using peaceful words and maintaining peaceful relationships. Remind your family to avoid seething anger, tattling, criticism or back talk. As the wife/mother, work on gentleness this week.

If you’d like to join Courtney’s challenge, visit her blog to link up.

Oh, and I am doing my first guest post today over at Jamie’s blog today.  Please stop by and say hello.       http://jamespurejoy.blogspot.com/2010/10/guest-post-theresa.html

  1. How fun...a guest post. Oh, and even before I came here today I was playing music. We are laughing because I was wanting to go to an Eagle's concert for our 30th anniversary and it didn't happen, but my 24 year old was at an Eagle's concert last night and sent me a video through his phone....so we are playing Eagles songs today...after I had started the day with praise and worship and lite my candle.

This will be fun...and I will check out your guest post...go girl!

  2. I'm just loving your new cozy fall theme!

What a great challenge! One of these days I'm going to take on these challenges, but for now, I'm trying not to be locked into specific commitments.

Congratulations on your first guest post! I think it would be fun to do one of those some time!

Have a blessed night, dear sister and glad to hear you had a wonderful Columbus Day!

Maybe some day we can celebrate that in NY together!

  5. Courtney's challenge is wonderful. We listen to classical in homeschool occasionally, so I just increased our sweet listening time for this one.
    Blessings,

  7. Theresa ~

Congratulations on the guest post as Jamie enjoys that new little blessing. I have enjoyed the reminder of praying for peace each day from Courtney's challenge...candles and music are something we do often in our home anyway, but now they serve as prayer reminders.

    Blessings ~
